I tried the blender fluid simulation. I made some paint flow on a cage.
This is the cage I made using the wire frame modifier.
It turned out very easy to set up and undestrand the settings. I have another idea using the fluid simulation but it’s a bit longer to do and it’s not done yet.
I took this picture of my friend while she was focused on her camera. I love the atmosphere this picture has and I decided to buid an environnement for that.
I added a sphere and some particles that I shaped into shperes and rounded stars.
I made some glowy materials and used a sunset HDRI to have a soft warm lighting.
I also edited the picture to change the color of the wine bottles, ennhance the colors and add a bit of grain.
The perfect balance between reality and digitally made environments is beautiful and fascinating because it does not just make us feel like it could be real, but we also want it to be real.
Lady Gaga for Paper Magazine By Frederik Heyman
In Frederik Heyman’s work, nature, technology and 3D scans of people blend to create an altered reality. Humans are obviously fascinated by robots and the future in general and I think it could be why those composition look so satisfying. Digital art help us imagine and reach this reality that we like but is not here yet.
I think it is a very interesting way of using art because it is a way to escape from the reality we are in but it also shows how ambitious we are.
I started by modeling a wing using vertices then I used the skin modifier to make it look like a tube and I made a metallic material with warm colors.
I mirrored the wing and Animated it. Then added a picture of my friend in front of it. The picture didn’t appear on the render but it helped me to find the right camera angle.
Then I put everything together using a video editing software.
After watching the Blender tutorials I had this idea. I didn’t model the fish because I wanted to focus on the animation and shading. I like how it turned out and I was very fun to do.
For some reason the Video quality is very bad here so here’s the link to the file : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1v-bnnJNf7BJjpB6g_RqKr24X3-htY1wW/view?usp=sharing
Fish model : https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/gold-fish-65791921d02c48ec83b924a17ae2b3d3 Process : * I used the displace modifier with a cloud texture for the swimming motion * Then I did the shading, you can find the nodes composition here * And I set the camera so that it is tracking one fish *Rendered with Eevee
Matthew Plummer-Fernandez: this is great Cecile, well done!
